HISTORY of HEAVY METAL 

Heavy metal fashion involves the metal uniform of blue jeans, black T-shirts, boots, and black leather or jeans jackets. T-shirts are generally emblazoned with the logos or other visual representations of favorite metal bands and black leather motorcycle jacket.  The patches (embroidered band logos) are sewn on to the jackets. Other items of jewelry adorning some metal fans include earrings and necklaces, generally with dangling crosses, although males with earrings are a distinct minority. Closely related to the pins and rings, but more colorful are the tattoos, which are key trademarks of the heavy metal fashion. Long hair is the most crucial distinguishing feature of heavy metal fashion. Long hair become a real sign of heavy metal dedication and heavy metal fashion, a willingly embraced cross to bear. It functions to define the boundary of metal subculture.
